After giving my questionnaire to 30 people, I calculated the results and decided it would be best to turn the answers into pie charts so that I could easily analyse the results.
How often should the school magazine be released?
The pie chart shows that 50% of the people asked said that they think the magazine should be released weekly. I also agree to release the magazine weekly because it allows readers of the magazine to keep updated with school life and events.
How much would you willingly pay for a school magazine?
The pie chart shows that most people would willingly pay between 50p and 60p for a school magazine, it also shows that no one would willingly pay £1. Using this information I make the price of the magazine 55p because it is a reasonable price as well as in-between the two most popular price choices.
What magazine theme would you enjoy and find most interesting?
The pie chart shows that 57% of the people asked would prefer the first edition of the magazine to be based of the Autumn Term and only 30% would prefer a seasonal edition. I agree with the first edition theme being based off of the autumn term, because it is the most relevant to now. However for later editions I can use my other theme ideas.
Who should be the target audience of the magazine?
The pie chart shows that most people think that the magazine should be available for everyone. I agree with this because it means that more money can be made from sales.
What magazine name do you prefer?
The pie chart shows that 37% of the people asked think that the magazine should be called Chislehurst Weekly, this makes sense because 50% also thought that the magazine should be released weekly. I agree with calling the magazine Chislehurst Weekly because I also decided to release the magazine weekly.
What would you like to see in the magazine?
The pie chart shows that the two most popular articles for the magazine would be revision tips (29%) and up coming trips (20%). Because these were the most popular arctic choices I will make sure that they are definitely in the magazine. However I will also third and fourth most popular articles in the magazine too, to make sure that it is interesting for a wider range of people.
What colour scheme should the magazine follow?
The pie chart shows that 67% of the people asked would like the colour scheme of the magazine to be seasonal. I agree with this because then it can tie into the theme of the magazine; for example because the theme of the magazine is Autumn Term I can use autumnal colours within the magazine.
